Деменция обусловливает нарушение самостоятельности больного и предопределяет необходимость оказания ему помощи со стороны иного лица. Являясь тяжелым психическим расстройством, деменция оказывает многофакторное неблагоприятное влияние на микросоциальное окружение больного. Целью бесповторного исследования 214 лиц, осуществлявших уход за больным с деменцией, явилось изучение их функционирования и определение социальной фрустрированности. Применены психометрический, социометрический, статистический методы исследования, метод социологического интервьюирования. Выявлены высокие показатели социальной фрустрированности у большинства лиц, ухаживающих за больными. Функциональная активность ухаживающих за тяжело больными достоверно ниже, выраженность стресса у этих лиц - выше.

Dementia causes a violation of the autonomy of the patient and determines the need for assistance from another person.
