Member of the World Psychiatric Association, Deputy Director of the Northern Scientific Center of the Northwestern Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, member of the editorial board of the journals Human Ecology, Narcology, Neurosciences, Addictology, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Association of Psychiatrists of the Arkhangelsk Region, Member of the Interdepartmental Commissions under the Administration of the Arkhangelsk Region and the Mayor's Office of Arkhangelsk to combat drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

Scientific interests: social and biological narcology, prevention of narcological diseases, medical and social rehabilitation and quality of life of patients with mental and narcological diseases.
