The main directions of scientific research are devoted to the fundamental study of the clinical and pathogenetic characteristics of mental illness in different age periods.
Author and co-author of more than 400 articles, 22 monographs, 8 manuals, 2 books in 2 parts, 20 study guides, 4 collections of scientific papers (edited), 5 textbooks, 4 inventions, 5 patents.
16 doctoral and 54 master's theses were defended under his supervision.
Member of the Presidium of the Russian Society of Psychiatrists, Chairman of the Moscow Regional Society of Psychiatrists and Narcological Psychiatrists, member of the editorial boards of specialized Russian and foreign journals on psychiatry.
